praying out

Psalm 55:22-23 (JDV)

Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on Yahveh, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalm 55:23 God, you will bring them down to the Pit of destruction; men of bloodshed and treachery will not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.

praying out

David’s burden was someone who wanted him dead. But his confidence was in God. God could reverse their plans and send those conspirators to the pit of destruction instead.

What is your burden today? God is big enough to reverse your circumstances, and make you victorious. But he does not need your help. Give up your plans for revenge and let God show himself faithful. Pray your way out of that mess.

Lord, we choose to pray our way out. We will trust in you.
