Psalm 36:10-12

Psalm 36:10 Spread your covenant faithfulness over those who know you, and your righteousness over the upright in heart.

Psalm 36:11 Do not let the foot of the arrogant come near me or the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Psalm 36:12 There! The evildoers have fallen. They have been thrown down and cannot rise.

a protective cover

In the former section, God’s protection is described as a wellspring of life. Here it’s described as a protective cover. Our enemies are described as arrogant— wicked— evildoers. They come to attack us with their hands and feet, but they cannot get through the protective cover, and fall in the attempt.

Thank you for the cover you provide in your faithfulness Lord.
