Hebrews 12 — Running the Race with Endurance
1. Run with Endurance, Eyes on Jesus (12:1–3)
- Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.
- Lay aside every weight and sin.
- Run with endurance.
- Fix your eyes on Jesus:
- The founder and perfecter of faith.
- Who endured the cross.
- Who now sits at God’s right hand.
Teaching emphasis:
The Christian life is a race — and Jesus is both our example and our strength.
2. God’s Loving Discipline (12:4–11)
- Hardship is God’s fatherly discipline.
- He disciplines those He loves.
- Discipline is painful but produces:
- Righteousness.
- Peace.
- Holiness.

Suffering is not abandonment — it is God’s loving training.
3. Strengthen One Another (12:12–17)
- Strengthen weak hands and knees.
- Pursue peace and holiness.

4. Two Mountains: Sinai and Zion (12:18–24)

- “For our God is a consuming fire.”
