Psalm 102:23-24 (JDV)

Psalm 102:23 He has broken my strength on the road; he has shortened my days.
Psalm 102:24 I say: “My God, do not take me in the middle of my days! Your years continue through all generations.

There comes a time in a person’s life when the mind is filled with things to do, but sometimes the body shows signs of unwillingness to do them. That is a time for such a prayer. It calls on the immortal God to allow us mortals the time we need.
