Psalms 5:8 Yahveh, lead me in living your right way because of my enemies; make your way straight in my presence.
Sometimes the trail meanders and seems to head in several different directions at once.  That can be very frustrating for a hiker because she wants to get to the next point in her plan. She wants a straight path.
The psalmist has the same thought here. He is struggling with external enemies, and needs to overcome their attacks. The last thing he needs is to be confused about his spiritual life. But spiritual confusion often sneaks up and delays his progress.
Lord, when it comes to our spiritual life, help us stay on the right path!
