we count

One of the reasons that there are so many genealogy lists in the Bible is that God wants us to know that our lives matter — all lives matter. We are encouraged to be responsible by living our lives in such a way as to make an impact for God. But we are also encouraged when things do not turn out the way we expected that we still count to God. Since we are here, there are reasons why we are here.

LORD, help us to trust you and know that we count in your eyes.
