Numbers 6:22-27

Num 6:22 Yahveh spoke to Moses, and this is what he said,
Num 6:23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, and this is what you should say. This is how you will bless the people of Israel: you will say to them,
Num 6:24 Yahveh bless you and keep you;
Num 6:25 Yahveh make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
Num 6:26 Yahveh lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Num 6:27 “This is how they will they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.”

Aaron and his sons — the priests — were instructed to pray those words as a blessing from Yahveh upon the Israelites.

They asked Yahveh to give protection to the people — from outside enemies and from evil within.
They asked Yahveh to manifest his presence among the people, shining a joyful face of grace, and lifting up a face of favor.
They asked Yahveh to bring wholeness, health and peace to the people.

LORD, bless us with your protection, your presence, and your peace.
