pursued with lies
The more he is pursued by the lies of the arrogant, the more our psalmist learns to put his faith in God, whose commands are true, and he can be trusted. The poet gets tired of waiting for deliverance, but he can do nothing else. His life is in God’s hands. He has learned to stay true to the Truth, even when pursued with lies.
