Psalm 37:1-2
Psalm 37:11 Do not be furious because of evildoers; do not envy those who do wrong
Psalm 37:2 because they are cut off quickly like grass and wilt like tender green plants.

When we encounter those walking contradictions to God’s promises — people who reject him and yet are prosperous and healthy— how do we respond?
This section highlights and warns against two wrong responses Some believers get angry at them. They let fly with furious tirades or inflammatory posts on social media.
Or, some believers turn their anger toward God— and envy the prosperous unbeliever. They stay loyal to God outwardly, but suffer inward conflict and doubts.
The psalmist invites his fellow believers to look at the situation in a different light. The ungodly who are blessed with health and prosperity are like beautiful green plants. The source of all health and strength has chosen to bless them— but only for now.
Lord, thank you for promising permanent blessing to those who choose to trust you.
