Psalm 33:4-5

Psalm 33:4 Because the word of Yahveh is right, and all his work is trustworthy.

Psalm 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; the land is full of Yahveh’s covenant faithfulness.

worship God because he is right

We cannot succeed in worship if we harbor doubts of God’s holiness and righteousness. We have to believe that his word is right and his work is trustworthy. If we lack assurance of that basic truth, we need to ask his forgiveness before we begin to worship.

Next, we have to know that no matter how bad the world gets, it is still being governed by our good God. God’s covenant faithfulness is not reflected by everything on the earth, but it is everywhere on the earth.
