Psalm 1:3D and whatever it does will be successful.

The psalmist is still using the tree simile here, so we should not get too carried away with ideas about prosperity from this verse. Yes, a person who is regularly watered by God’s word can expect a return upon his investment of time and energy. But the success will be in spiritual fruit bearing. A tree is limited by its purpose. So it is with a child of God.
