Numbers 5 These commands highlight the importance of walking in purity. Those who were unclean because of leprosy or some other defilement had to be put outside the camp. Sins had to be confessed and restitution made or they would defile the camp and hinder the holy walk. Jealousy would destroy relationships, and thus had to be dealt with for the same reason.
“Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” (Psalm 24:3-5)
LORD, attend our walk, that we remain pure before a world that is looking for a difference in us.
