the line to see Jesus

SDC11977 Luke 2.  Becky Kelley’s video “Where’s the line to see Jesus?” has her in a mall at Christmas time, and people are in line to see Santa.  A little boy appears and asks her “Where’s the line to see Jesus?”  It is an effective reminder that the holiday should be about him. The shepherds in Luke 2 could have built a shrine where the angels had visited them. They could have advertised the site, and had others pay to see it. Instead their Christmas message sent them “with haste” to see Jesus. They wanted to be first in line. And after they saw him, they “make known the saying” so that others would understand how special Jesus is.

LORD, may we get in the right line — the one to see Jesus.
