Daniel 6:25-28 (JDV)

Daniel 6:25 Then King Darius wrote to those of every people, nation, and language who live on the whole land: “May your prosperity abound.
Daniel 6:26 I issue a decree that in all my royal dominion, people must be scared and tremble before the God of Daniel: You see, he is the living God, and he endures permanently; his kingdom will never be destroyed, and his dominion has no end.
Daniel 6:27 He rescues and delivers; he performs signs and wonders in the sky and on the land because he has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”
Daniel 6:28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

prosperity that matters

The reason Daniel prospered was that he had been rescued by the living God. His fame and notoriety were a result of his deliverance by God. That is the only kind of prosperity that matters.
