Psalm 1:3c and its leaf does not shrivel

This is not describing the falling leaf of Autumn. It is describing a wilting leaf due to drought. If we take our nourishment from God and his word, we will never lack the life we need.  Even when hard times come— and they will — we can keep going because our strength is rooted in him. We can do without a steady rain because we are planted beside a separate water source.
