Jeremiah 11:18-12:17Jeremiah discovers that the men of Anathoth have conspired to murder him. He is outraged, and prays that the LORD will destroy them. Then, the LORD shows Jeremiah that Judah has done the same thing to their God. The LORD will pluck them out of the land, making it desolate, but then he will have mercy on them, and bring them back. This is the way our loving God is. Even his wrath is mixed with compassion.
LORD, forgive us, restore us. Our treachery was so great it cost the life of your Son on the cross. Bring us back.
