Hosea 14I recently enjoyed a “glacier walk” in the South Island of New Zealand. I remember looking around at all the mountains on either side of the Franz-Josef glacier and thinking how peaceful it is. Being surrounded by such high places made me feel secure. The LORD wanted his people to feel that way – protected by his greatness. But they had rebelled against him, and were at risk. He pleaded with them to return to the protection of his shadow.
LORD, we want to return to you, and your protecting love.
