Luke 2:22-52.  These stories highlight how the Holy Spirit was manifesting himself at the temple in Jerusalem.  He was not in the greatness of the buildings nor the glory of the worship.  It was the humble faithfulness of an old prophet and an old widow woman.  It was the unusual devotion of a boy who is earnestly listening and talking with the teachers.

His parents seek for him throughout the city, but it was here at his “father’s house” that they should have known to look.  The Holy Spirit is present wherever the faithful wait for the Son, and the anxious who seek him will find him there.

LORD, teach us to wait in faithfulness for your salvation – your Son.  When others are seeking him, help us to direct them to your house, where we know he is.
