Romans 5:1-11.  Christ died FOR us when we were ungodly sinners (6-8).  We were justified BY his blood — that is — his death on the cross, and will be saved completely BY his resurrected life (1,2,9,10). Our current standing is that we now have been reconciled to God, so we peace with him and access to him THROUGH our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our reason to rejoice! (1,5,11).

LORD, we thank you for what you did for us by the gift of Jesus Christ, and that now we have peace through him.
