Jude 17-23.  Jude warned that Satan intends to disrupt God’s people from within. True believers must  overcome this strategy by remaining strong internally and by reacting correctly to external ungodliness.

Remaining strong = “keep yourselves in the love of God”

How? =

• “building yourselves up in your most holy faith”
• “praying in the Holy Spirit”
• “waiting for the mercy of …Christ”

Reacting correctly to ungodliness =

• “have mercy on those who doubt”
• “snatch (others) out of the fire”
• “to others show mercy with fear (caution).”

LORD, help us to be instruments of your peace among those who cause divisions by their ungodliness. May we keep ourselves strong, and deal wisely with those who are ruled by the flesh, and seek to cause divisions among us.
